Elizabeth (Lizzie) Prost
Teacher/Entrepreneur/Writer

As a former professional figure skater, Lizzie has had the opportunity to travel throughout the world including Europe, United States and Australia. She often jokes about her claim to fame as "Daisy Duck" with Disney On Ice. She taught figure skating professionally to children and adults of all ages for 18 years. She was also a choreographer and skater with the Calgary Professional Ice Theater.

Academically, Lizzie acquired a degree in drama at the University of Regina. She studied dance for several years at York University, Toronto and the University of Calgary. She also completed two years of study in kinesiology, physiology and sport psychology at the University of Calgary.

Leadership has always been in Lizzie's blood and entrepreneurship was a natural progression for her. She proudly opened her first business Core Yoga+Pilates, Calgary in 2004. Presently, Lizzie owns and manages Core Yoga+Pilates, Inglewood, is a monthly health columnist and is in the process of completing her first non-fiction book, Waiting For Winter.

In her spare time, Lizzie loves to play in the mountains. She has hiked and climbed several peaks in the Rockies and enjoys back country skiing and snowshoeing. She also loves cooking and gets a kick out of throwing theme parties for family and friends.

"I am not happy unless I have three or four creative ventures going at once. Teaching has always come naturally to me. I am captivated by the science of the body and the spirit of the mind and unraveling their mysterious connections. I have also embraced the challenge of being in business and accept the rewards along with the trials and tribulations. It gives me the opportunity to practice what I preach. Writing is a passion for me with endless possibilities. Who knows where it will take me next."

Dianne Anton
Pilates & Therapeutic Yoga Instructor/Workshop Facilitator

Dianne has been involved in the fitness and wellness industry for 19 years as a fitness instructor and, more recently, as a personal trainer. Over the years, she began to develop S.I. joint pain due to tight muscles which, eventually, became debilitating enough that she was unable to teach for a short period of time. By combining chiropractic care and Active Release Therapy with myofascial release and modified yoga postures, Dianne is now pain free, and enjoying the benefits of increased range of motion and ease of movement. With first-hand experience in the benefits of therapeutic yoga and myofascial release, Dianne is excited to be able to add these disciplines to her teaching and personal training. She feels privileged to share what she has learned, thereby, empowering others to take control of their well-being.

"As a fitness instructor and personal trainer for 19 years, I have noticed an increasing percentage of individuals, regardless of age, with reduced mobility due to injuries, tension or unknown causes. This awareness as well as my own injuries and health issues have led me to study various myofascial release techniques. In an effort to assist people in healing themselves, I have developed workshops which teach participants how to release myofascial restrictions in the comfort of their home."
